You’ll find the world’s biggest Y – a sculpture and landmark in Timrå, created by internationally-renowned artist Bengt Lindström. During the summer, June through August, the base of the Y also houses a tourist information office.
In Timrå you’ll also have the opportunity to experience the cultural-historical heritage of industrialism and the forest industry in the region. Don’t miss the milieu and activities at Merlo Manor (Merlo slott). There is an 18-hole seaside golf course integrated with the magnificent surroundings of Sweden’s largest river delta. Nature’s bounty is a great feature in Timrå, where the salmon and gleaming salmon trout in the waters of the river Indalsälven attract avid anglers from near and far.
Stay with us for a few days, or even a few hours. You are warmly welcome. Regardless of how long you choose to visit we know that your visit will make a lasting impression. Timrå offers a range of activities that will make gentle imprints in your soul. Where your time is truly yours. If you decide to return home (some just stay), then we want you to leave with a new perspective on life. A pleasing blend of reflection, enjoyment and contentment. Your own Timrå.
